Zenato

Zenato is a family wine producer based in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Founded by Sergio Zenato in 1960, the winery has established a reputation for wines from the shores of Lake Garda and the historic vineyards of Valpolicella.

The estate works with the traditional grapes of Valpolicella, including Corvina and Rondinella, and is particularly recognized for Amarone della Valpolicella. The region’s appassimento method, which involves drying selected grapes before fermentation, gives Amarone its characteristic depth and concentration.

Zenato’s Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Sergio Zenato honors the winery’s founder and represents a carefully selected expression of this classic Veneto red. At InBodega, the 2013 vintage offers an opportunity to explore the producer’s approach to structured, age-worthy Amarone.
