Tenuta Gugi

Tenuta Gugi was founded in the early 2000s in the Val d’Illasi area east of Verona, with a focus on viticulture and winemaking rooted in local tradition, careful vineyard work and gradual innovation.

The estate farms approximately eight hectares of vineyards divided between Illasi and Cazzano di Tramigna. Elevation varies significantly across the holdings, from lower sites near Illasi to higher vineyards in the Tramigna valley, giving the estate a range of growing conditions within the eastern Valpolicella area.

Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta form the core of the red-wine vineyards, with a smaller portion planted to Chardonnay. The estate uses the traditional pergola veronese training system, works its vineyards by hand from pruning through harvest, and is converting its holdings to organic farming. Campo Piano is one of Tenuta Gugi’s principal wine lines, including its Amarone and Valpolicella Ripasso bottlings.
