Palacio de Bornos

Palacio de Bornos was founded in Rueda in 1976, developing alongside the emergence of the D.O. Rueda itself. The winery first established its reputation in Castilla y León before expanding across Spain and into international markets, while keeping Rueda and its native Verdejo at the center of its identity.

The estate works with its own vineyards in Rueda, Pollos and La Seca, where gravelly, sandy-loam soils and a Mediterranean climate with continental influence shape the region’s bright, aromatic white wines. The winery has also been a pioneer in sparkling wine in Castilla y León, beginning traditional-method production in 1978.

Today, Palacio de Bornos is part of BORNOS Bodegas & Viñedos and combines long regional experience with a continued focus on vineyard quality, sustainability and modern Rueda winemaking.
