Mont Gravet
Mont Gravet is a French wine brand built around selected vineyard sites in the South and South West of France rather than a single estate. The name refers to the sun-exposed hills, or “monts,” where the grapes are grown and to the rounded stones known locally as “gravets” that are common in the vineyards.
Across the range, vineyard sites are chosen for warm ripening conditions moderated by cooler Atlantic or Mediterranean influences. Clay, limestone and stony soils are recurring elements, with the rocky surface encouraging vine roots to reach deeper for water.
For the Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blend, the grapes are sourced around Argeliers in the eastern Languedoc, where the hillsides are marked by cypress, oak and aromatic garrigue. The varieties are vinified separately before blending, with the style centered on ripe fruit, spice and the structure of a classic southern French GSM.
