Familia Zuccardi

Familia Zuccardi is a multigenerational Argentine wine family whose story in Mendoza began in 1963, when engineer Alberto Zuccardi planted the family’s first vineyard. Over the following generations, the family became closely associated with innovation in Argentine viticulture and an increasingly precise exploration of Mendoza’s diverse growing places.

Today, Sebastián Zuccardi leads the family’s wine work in the Uco Valley, where the focus is on wines that express their origin rather than a predetermined style. The family studies altitude, climate and especially soil in detail, vinifying parcels separately and using concrete extensively to preserve the character of each site.

At Finca Piedra Infinita in Paraje Altamira, the Zuccardi Valle de Uco winery rises from the stony landscape near the Andes. The estate’s limestone-covered alluvial stones, high elevation and close relationship with the mountains have become central to the family’s interpretation of Malbec and the identity of its Uco Valley wines.
