Clos des Papes is a historic family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the Avril family has cultivated vines for generations and built a reputation around one of the Southern Rhône’s most distinctive traditional domaines.

The estate follows a restrained, terroir-focused philosophy, working its vineyards parcel by parcel and blending across varieties and sites to create wines defined by balance, complexity and a strong sense of place.

Its holdings are spread across the diverse soils of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, bringing together the appellation’s galets roulés, limestone, sand and clay and a broad range of traditional Rhône grape varieties.
