Château Pavie Macquin

Château Pavie Macquin is a historic Saint-Émilion estate named for Albert Macquin, the pioneering agronomist who helped lead Bordeaux’s vineyards out of the phylloxera crisis through the use of grafted vines.

The property has remained rooted in family ownership while developing a precise, terroir-driven identity, with careful vineyard work and restrained winemaking designed to preserve freshness, depth and the character of each vintage.

Its vineyards occupy the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, where clay over a strong limestone base provides the natural drainage, water reserves and mineral tension that shape the estate’s Merlot-led wines.
