Château Lynch-Bages

Château Lynch-Bages sits at the entrance to Pauillac on land whose wine-growing history reaches back centuries. The estate became associated with the Lynch family in the eighteenth century, and the Cazes family acquired Lynch-Bages in 1939. Today it remains one of Pauillac’s 1855 Grand Cru Classé estates and a defining name of the Médoc.

The vineyard extends over more than one hundred hectares on deep Garonne gravel, with Cabernet Sauvignon at the center of the estate’s identity alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A major renovation led by architect Chien Chung Pei culminated with the 2020 vintage, the first made in the new gravity-flow cellars.

Lynch-Bages remains firmly Pauillac in character and identity: Cabernet-led, gravel-grown and built around the estate’s long relationship with one of the Médoc’s most recognizable vineyard sites.
