Cayuse Vineyards

Founded by French vigneron Christophe Baron in the Walla Walla Valley, Cayuse Vineyards began after Baron discovered an extraordinary field of stones near Milton-Freewater and planted his first vineyard there in 1997.

Cayuse built its identity around estate-grown wines and the distinctive cobblestone soils of the Rocks District, farming its vineyards biodynamically and working with a focused, site-driven approach in the cellar.

Today the estate is closely associated with the stony terroir of the Walla Walla Valley, where Syrah and other Rhône and Bordeaux varieties express the mineral, savory character that has become a hallmark of Cayuse.
