Bodegas Príncipe de Viana

Bodegas Príncipe de Viana is rooted in Navarra’s Ribera Alta, where the winery works with more than 800 hectares of privately owned vineyards. The estate grows both traditional and international varieties, including Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Viura, Garnacha Blanca, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and the recovered local grape Oneca.

The vineyards span varied soils, from stony parcels rich in river pebbles to limestone marls and deeper silty clay loams. Príncipe de Viana places particular emphasis on preserving the identity of each site while adapting vineyard work to Navarra’s mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences.

In the cellar, the winery combines selective harvesting with detailed technical work such as night picking, berry selection and the use of native yeasts isolated from its own vineyards. Its current approach also includes a strong sustainability program, supported by certification under Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection.
