Bodegas Orot

Bodegas Orot traces its origins to 1980 in Toro, Zamora. In 1997, as the potential of the D.O. Toro became increasingly clear, the project established its own winery in the town of Toro, placing the estate directly within the heart of the appellation.

The winery works with 20 hectares of its own Tinta de Toro vineyards, situated at around 700 meters above sea level. The soils combine clay, sandstone and limestone sediments, conditions well suited to the region’s native Tempranillo clone and to the dry, continental climate of southeastern Zamora.

The cellar itself is built on two levels, with one floor underground to provide naturally stable conditions for aging. Orot’s identity remains closely tied to estate-grown Tinta de Toro, measured oak aging and the structure and concentration associated with the Toro landscape.
