Bodegas Martínez Corta

Bodegas Martínez Corta is rooted in Uruñuela, in the heart of Rioja Alta, where the family’s connection to the land reaches back to 1889. The story begins with Catalina Martínez and continues through four generations of viticulture, linking the family’s mountain origins with the vine-covered valleys of the Bajo Najerilla.

The estate works with vineyards around Uruñuela and Cenicero, including old parcels planted on limestone-rich and clay-based soils at roughly 500 meters of altitude. Its modern winery, distinguished by an octagonal design and surrounded by vines, reflects the house philosophy of pairing long family experience with contemporary winemaking.

Since joining BORNOS Bodegas & Viñedos in 2019, Martínez Corta has retained its own Rioja Alta identity. The producer remains centered on estate vineyards, regional character and a balance between traditional Rioja foundations and a more modern expression of the zone.
