Bernard Levet

The Levet family estate in Ampuis traces its modern history to 1929, when its first parcel was planted in Côte Blonde. Four generations later, Agnès Levet continues the work of her parents Nicole and Bernard, preserving a traditional Côte-Rôtie identity rooted in steep terraces, old vines and the family’s long relationship with the slopes above the Rhône.

The domaine farms more than 4.5 hectares of Côte-Rôtie across sites including Côte Blonde, Côte Brune, Landonne and Chavaroche, with Syrah planted as the old local selection known as petite serine. Vineyard work is done by hand, massal selection has been practiced since the 1990s, and the wines are shaped through long macerations followed by extended aging in oak, with the aim of preserving the savory, mineral and structured character of the appellation.
