Valdicava

Valdicava is a family estate in the Montosoli area on the northern side of Montalcino, where the Abbruzzese family has cultivated Sangiovese for generations. Martini Bramante acquired the property in 1953, and his grandson Vincenzo Abbruzzese has directed the estate since 1987.

The winery’s philosophy begins in the vineyard, with careful work aimed at preserving the balance of the vines and the individual character of each site. Valdicava emphasizes low yields, rigorous selection, native yeasts and traditional cellar work to produce Brunello with concentration, structure and a clear sense of place.

The estate’s Brunello di Montalcino is complemented by Madonna del Piano, a single-vineyard Riserva produced only in selected vintages. Both wines are rooted in the estate’s position in northern Montalcino and its long focus on Sangiovese.
