About Us

Behind the scenes at InBodega

Good wine. Better company.

At InBodega, we believe wine should bring people together—not make anyone feel like they need a dictionary to enjoy it. We love discovering thoughtful bottles, sharing the stories behind them, and helping you find something worth opening.

Where it started

Our Story

Our story began in 2017 with G58, a food-and-wine editorial project built around curiosity, conversation, and the people who make memorable meals happen.

That passion later took shape in Caná Wine Shop, where we got to share bottles and recommendations face to face. After closing the physical shop in December 2025, we focused our energy on InBodega: the same personal approach, now built for discovering and enjoying wine online.

Different chapters. The same idea: great wine is better when it's shared.

Our point of view

What We Believe

Curiosity first

There is always another producer, grape, region, or story to discover.

No gatekeeping

Wine can be interesting without being intimidating. Good questions are always welcome.

Personal matters

We care about the people making the wine—and the people opening it.

The people behind the bottles

Meet the Team

Maria Claudia Di Guida — Co-Founder & Wine Director

Maria Claudia Di Guida

Maca

Co-Founder & Wine Director

A psychologist with a master’s in criminology, Maca took the scenic route into wine. After teaching in Spain, she co-founded G58, helped bring Caná Wine Shop to life, and now leads wine curation at InBodega. WSET-trained and endlessly curious, she believes good wine should spark conversations—not require a study guide.

Alfonso González-Mora — Operating Partner & Sommelier

Alfonso González-Mora

The Beard

Operating Partner & Sommelier

A sommelier with experience spanning vineyards, wineries, and the wine business, Alfonso has worked his way from Chile and California to the Caribbean and Miami. With degrees in wine business and hospitality, he brings both expertise and a practical eye to InBodega’s operations. The beard, naturally, needs no introduction.

Francisco Poleo (Frank), InBodega Co-Founder and Business Strategy

Francisco Poleo

Frank

Co-Founder & Business Strategy

A journalist, publisher, and entrepreneur, Frank has spent his career telling stories and asking the right questions. As publisher of El Nuevo País and Zeta, he brings that same sharp eye to InBodega, where he leads strategy, technology, and business development. Turns out good storytelling pairs pretty well with good wine.

Uva Josefina — Chief Happiness Officer

Uva Josefina

Uva

Chief Happiness Officer

Small in size, enormous in personality, Uva is InBodega’s four-legged executive and resident morale booster. Toothless but full of opinions, she takes her job very seriously: supervising the humans, spreading joy, and reminding everyone that the best things in life are meant to be enjoyed. Preferably with treats.

Ana Isabel Torrealba — Co-Founder & Chef

Ana Isabel Torrealba
