The only wine at Arnoux-Lachaux made from bought fruit — and the only one raised without any new oak. Charles Lachaux draws it from fifty- to sixty-year-old vines split between Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, which is a startling pedigree for a bottle labelled simply Bourgogne.

👃 Tasting Notes & Experience

Color: Bright, light-to-medium ruby
Nose: Red berries and florals, in the airy register Charles Lachaux has made his signature
Palate: Pure and lifted, with no oak to hide behind
Structure: Fine tannins, gentle extraction
Finish: Fresh and persistent

Charles Lachaux has become one of the most closely watched growers in Burgundy, and his methods are genuinely unorthodox: vines left untrimmed through the season and only cut back very late, no tilling or mowing between the rows, increasing whole-cluster fermentation, and steadily less new oak and less extraction across the range. The Bourgogne is where you can see that thinking at its most unadorned — no wood, no makeup, just old vines from three of the Côte de Nuits' best villages.

• The clearest window into Charles Lachaux's low-intervention style
• A full twelve-bottle case, which almost never happens with this domaine

🍽️ Food Pairing Ideas
