Voyant Reserva Malbec 2022 – Bold Uco Valley Argentine Red Wine
Mendoza, Argentina 🇦🇷 | 100% Malbec | 92 pts James Suckling | Aged in American & French Oak
This is not your everyday Malbec. Voyant Reserva 2022 rolls deep with rich fruit, sultry oak, and a whole lot of Argentine swagger. Grown in Mendoza’s high-altitude Uco Valley and aged in both French and American oak barrels, it’s got the smoky finesse of a jazz club and the body of a heavyweight champ.
Crafted by Leonardo De Viani, this Malbec is full-bodied but finessed, polished but powerful — basically, the wine equivalent of a leather-wrapped sports car.
🍇 What It Tastes Like:
-
Color: Deep ruby red with those signature violet flashes.
-
Nose: Ripe plums, figs, and red fruit layered with caramel, spice, and a teasing kiss of minerality.
-
Palate: Rich and velvety. Think dark berries, vanilla, toasted bread, and a hint of mocha swagger.
-
Finish: Long, luscious, and kissed with spice and chocolate. Like dessert — but grown-up.
🥩 Pair It With:
-
Grilled Meats: Steak, lamb, pork — the usual suspects for Malbec seduction.
-
Aged Cheeses: Manchego, Gouda, Parmesan… salty, funky, fabulous.
-
Wild Game: Duck, venison, or boar if you're feeling primal.
-
Hearty Pasta: Truffle risotto, mushroom ravioli, Bolognese… bring it.
