Tasting Notes

Deep straw-yellow with green highlights. On the nose: orchard fruit—ripe pear, peach—plus acacia blossom, hawthorn, wild honey and lanolin. The palate is rich and textured—ripe apricot, citrus zest, chamomile and sage-laced herbal spice ensconced in soft phenolics and chalky minerality. Mid-palate oiliness meets fresh acidity. The finish lingers, gently bitter with saline lift and nuance of dried flowers.

Meet the Winemaker

Vietti—a Piedmont icon founded in the 1800s & revived recently by the Krause family—has reignited Timorasso’s fame. Their Derthona expression sources fruit from Colli Tortonesi vineyards, fermented in ceramic, oak and steel, then aged for roughly 10 months. It’s heritage-rooted, tech-precise, and quietly revolutionary.
