The Dead Arm takes its name from a vine disease that kills one arm of the vine, leaving the survivor to produce intensely concentrated fruit. That concentration defines the wine: rich, powerful, and structured, with excellent oak integration and the balance to age for decades. Matured around 20 months in French and American oak and now well into its drinking window, the 2006 shows classic McLaren Vale Shiraz character with the complexity that comes from bottle age.
