200 Years of Family, Fruit, and French Oak — Bottled for Your Pleasure
This is what Grand Cru dreams are made of.
Château Trimoulet 2011 is a textbook Saint-Émilion Grand Cru — rich, refined, and perfectly aged. From one of the region’s oldest family-owned estates, this vintage offers a peek into the soul of Bordeaux: dark fruit, earthy complexity, and tannins smooth enough to make you rethink everything you thought you knew about 2011.
🏅 91 Points – Wine Enthusiast
“Rich and elegant… dark fruits, licorice, and oak in classic Saint-Émilion style.”
🍷 Tasting Notes
-
Color: Deep ruby with elegant garnet highlights — proof it’s aged like fine art.
-
Nose: Black cherry, blackberry, dried plum, with touches of espresso, licorice, and vanilla.
-
Palate: Medium-bodied, silky, and layered. Ripe fruit meets dark chocolate, cedar, and spice with seamless balance.
-
Finish: Long and graceful with soft tannins and integrated oak that whispers, not shouts.
🏰 The Château with 200 Years of Soul
Owned by the Appollot family for over two centuries, Château Trimoulet is classic Right Bank Bordeaux — 17 hectares of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) grown in Saint-Émilion’s clay-limestone soils.
The 2011 vintage spent 18 months in French oak barrels, allowing it to evolve into something truly special — approachable now, but with a structure built for the long haul.
🌍 Why It Works
This is a wine that wears its age well. The 2011 vintage is showing off — with just the right maturity to soften its edges and highlight that classic Saint-Émilion minerality and depth.
