Massandra

Massandra is a historic winery on the Crimean peninsula, founded in 1894 under Prince Lev Golitsyn. Its underground cellar complex was built in the 1890s to create stable conditions for the long ageing of table, fortified and dessert wines.

The house became especially associated with long-lived sweet and fortified styles, supported by an extraordinary library of old bottles preserved in its extensive cellars. That history is exactly what makes surviving mature Massandra bottlings so unusual today.

At InBodega, Massandra is represented by a single remarkable Collection wine: White Muscat 1948. We group it under Massandra itself and classify Crimea under Ukraine in the store’s country structure.
