Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori has been making wine since 1385, across 26 generations, which is the kind of family history that makes most wineries look like startups. The important part is that the house never treated tradition like an excuse to stand still: Antinori built its reputation by pushing Tuscan wine forward while keeping the family’s roots very much intact.
That tension shows up everywhere in the portfolio. Tignanello and Solaia helped redefine what serious Tuscan wine could look like, Guado al Tasso brings the family to Bolgheri, and Pian delle Vigne takes the story into Montalcino. Same family, very different corners of Tuscany.
Our Antinori shelf leans gloriously serious: multiple vintages of Tignanello and Solaia, Guado al Tasso, Matarocchio, and Brunello from Pian delle Vigne. If you came here looking for subtle collector bait, this is not that shelf.
