Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is based in Vosne-Romanée, and the history of its central vineyard reaches back through the medieval priory of Saint-Vivant. The modern family chapter begins in 1869, when Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet acquired Romanée-Conti, adding it to holdings that already included parcels in Richebourg, Grands Échézeaux and Échézeaux.

The domaine’s identity is built around individual Grand Cru sites rather than a broad regional range. Its official portfolio today spans Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Richebourg, Grands Échézeaux, Échézeaux, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne and Montrachet — vineyards with very different personalities, all farmed and bottled through one extraordinarily focused estate.

Few domaines are as inseparable from individual vineyards as DRC; each bottling is tied to a specific Grand Cru identity, making the estate less a broad portfolio than a collection of singular Burgundy sites.
