Domaine Comtesse de Chérisey

Domaine Comtesse de Chérisey is a family estate in the Hameau de Blagny, above Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Hélène and Laurent Martelet represent the sixth generation of winegrowers and work the domaine with a strong focus on preserving the life of the vineyard and the identity of each climat.

The estate forms a contiguous vineyard of more than 9 hectares, facing south to south-east at roughly 350 meters in elevation. Across the property, an 80-meter change in elevation and slopes reaching up to 35% create marked differences between parcels, while clay and limestone are central to the soils.

The domaine is certified organic. Its holdings include Meursault-Blagny Premier Cru sites such as La Genelotte and La Pièce sous le Bois, along with Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru parcels including La Garenne and Les Chalumaux. Chardonnay dominates the estate, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted.
