Domaine Armand Rousseau
Domaine Armand Rousseau was created in Gevrey-Chambertin at the beginning of the twentieth century, when Armand Rousseau began expanding the family’s vineyard holdings and bottling wines under the domaine name. Four generations later, Eric Rousseau leads the estate with his daughter Cyrielle.
The domaine works 15.33 hectares in Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis, including 8.51 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards. Pinot Noir is the sole focus, and the estate’s philosophy centers on transmitting the character of each climat as precisely as possible rather than imposing a single house style.
Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, Clos Saint-Jacques, Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche sit at the heart of the domaine’s identity, making Rousseau one of the clearest examples of Burgundy understood vineyard by vineyard.
