Comando G

Comando G was founded in 2008 by Dani Landi and Fernando García in the Sierra de Gredos, the mountain range west of Madrid that has become one of Spain’s most distinctive sources of old-vine Garnacha. Their project is centered on recovering and farming high-elevation vineyards whose character is shaped by altitude, granite, slate and quartz.

The estate’s vineyards are spread across the Gredos landscape, with important holdings around villages such as Rozas, Navatalgordo, Villanueva and El Tiemblo. Many of the vines are decades old, planted on steep, demanding sites that are worked by hand with a strong focus on the health and individuality of each parcel.

In the cellar, Comando G follows a restrained approach intended to preserve site character rather than impose a house style. Hand harvesting, native fermentations and careful aging in larger vessels support wines known for their pale color, aromatic lift, freshness and mineral expression of Garnacha from the mountains of Gredos.
