Château Margaux

Château Margaux is one of Bordeaux’s most historic estates, with viticultural roots stretching back centuries and a reputation elevated by generations of owners who shaped the property into a benchmark of the Médoc.

Named a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, the estate has been owned by the Mentzelopoulos family since 1977, combining exacting vineyard work and winemaking with a deep respect for its architectural and cultural heritage.

Located in the Margaux appellation, the estate’s vineyards are rooted in the deep gravel soils of the Gironde’s left bank, where Cabernet Sauvignon leads the red-wine plantings alongside Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
