Bodegas Hispano+Suizas

Bodegas Hispano+Suizas is a Requena project led by viticulturist and winemaker Rafael Navarro and winemaker Pablo Ossorio, with Marc Grin part of the original partnership. From the start, the winery approached Utiel-Requena as a place for experimentation as much as tradition, combining local grapes with varieties more commonly associated with France.

The estate works 110 hectares of its own vineyards and grows everything from Bobal to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot. That range shows up across the portfolio: traditional-method Tantum Ergo Cava, the Impromptu wines, Bassus, Bobos, Finca Casa Julia and Quod Superius.

That breadth is part of the point: traditional-method sparkling wine, still whites, rosé, sweet wine and reds all come from the same experimental, estate-grown approach in Requena.
