Alberto Burzi

Alberto Burzi is a grower-producer based in La Morra, in the heart of Barolo. After studying viticulture and oenology and gaining experience abroad, Alberto returned to the Langhe to build the family winery around vineyards inherited from his maternal grandparents, including old vines in the Capalot cru. His sister Caterina joined the project in 2018, extending a family connection to the land that reaches back through generations of farming in La Morra.

The estate’s approach is centered on vineyard character and traditional cellar work: old vines, massal selection, manual grafting and careful attention to phenolic ripeness in the vineyard, followed by spontaneous fermentations, long macerations where appropriate, large Austrian oak casks and refinement in concrete. The aim is to preserve the identity of La Morra and the Langhe with wines shaped more by site and farming than by overt cellar influence.
