Bouchard Père & Fils

Bouchard Père & Fils has been rooted in Beaune since 1731, when Michel Bouchard settled in the city and began building what would become one of Burgundy’s longest-running houses. The family domaine itself took shape in 1775 with the purchase of its first vineyard parcels in Pommard, and in 1820 Bernard Bouchard acquired the Château de Beaune, whose underground galleries became part of the domaine’s ageing cellars.

Today the estate spans around sixty hectares, concentrated across Beaune, Volnay, Monthelie, Pommard and Meursault. The vineyards have been steadily converted to organic farming, with the entire domaine certified organic from the 2025 vintage onward. It is a very old Burgundy house that has somehow avoided becoming a museum piece.

Our Bouchard shelf moves from serious Côte de Beaune classics into full collector territory: Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus, Volnay Caillerets, Meursault Genevrières and Perrières, plus Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Montrachet and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze.
