Founder Jaime Postigo acquired the estate with the initial goal of restoring a landscape damaged by decades of intensive agriculture; the wine project grew from that work rather than the other way around.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe estate now combines 74 hectares of vineyard with a much larger Mediterranean woodland at roughly 950 meters of altitude. The forest, vineyard and winery are managed as one system: the estate generates its own solar energy, captures and treats its own water, composts its residues and works with manual harvesting and careful fruit selection.
